Legendary Orono Pizza Shop Will Close Temporarily To Replace Floors Next Week
If you're looking to get some pizza from local legend 'Pat's' in Orono next week, it'll be takeout only, but for a good reason.
As Pat's management announced on their Facebook this week, those old floors that folks have been walking over for decades are about to get an upgrade!
But to do that, they'll have to close off a bit of the restaurant side of things, temporarily.

"4/20 Monday - 4/24 Friday, we are having flooring replaced in our main dish area on the Mill Street side, so we will not have inside dining for those days while we update some of these old bones! BUT we will still have Take-out Pizza items all during that time, with access from the parking lot entrance! Thank you for your understanding, and we look forward to cooking up pizzas for yah!"
Pat's Pizza in Orono has been a staple of that community since it opened its doors in 1931. While other Pat's locations now exist across the state, no one deserves a little TLC and upgrading like the original location.
Once again, so as not to induce any panic for those of you that just have to have your 'Pat's', you'll still be able to get Pat's Pizza for takeout in Orono all next week, but you'll have to come through the back parking lot entrance off Pine Street to pick it up, as the main entrance from Mill Street will be closed as they replace the floor.
