Penobscot Narrows Observatory Opening Delayed Until End Of May

Fort Knox is open for the season. However, the Penobscot Narrows Observatory will not open until the end of May according to Maine DOT.

Maine DOT says a malfunctioning fire suppression system has delayed the season opening for Penobscot Narrows Observatory.

In a press release, Maine DOT says:

A valve on that fire suppression system failed, so we have ordered a replacement, but the part needs to be specially constructed for us.

The hope is to have the Observatory open by Memorial Day Weekend.
