The Penobscot County Sheriff's Office has updated its information about a missing Howland Teen.

UPDATE: Officials say Krystal Bursey has been located out of state and found to be safe. In a post on the department's Facebook page, Sheriff's officials say they don't release information until it's been thoroughly vetted, which explains why some information appeared on social media that she was found before the Sheriff's Office made the announcement.

Where Was She Last Seen?

Krystal Bursey, 17, has been missing since Saturday. She was last seen at around 1:00 Saturday afternoon in the town of Howland. Officials say Krystal told her family she was going to walk to the Dollar General Store in the town of Enfield. She hasn't been seen since.

Do Officials Have a Description?

At the time, she was wearing a brown fur jacket, an off-white sweatshirt with brown sleeves, blue jeans, and was carrying a pink backpack.
