Perry Woman Found Dead; Police Seek Info on ‘Person of Interest’
The Maine State Police Department is looking into the details surrounding what they're calling the suspicious death of a Washington County woman.
The Pleasant Point Police were asked, by a relative, to do a well-check on 43-year-old Kimberly Neptune. When they got to Neptune's apartment on the Thunder Road in Perry, they found her body. The Maine State Police Major Crimes Unit was then called to investigate.
According to Maine Department of Public Safety spokesperson, Shannon Moss, the State Police are asking for help identifying a person of interest who showed up on some surveillance video at the scene.
"Upon entry, Neptune was discovered deceased and the circumstances of her death are suspicious...A neighbor of Neptune’s reported having a surveillance camera and located on the video a person walking by the apartment building...If you have any information about the person in the photos or about the death of Neptune, please call the Maine State Police at 973-3700 and leave a message for Detective Larry Anderson."
Neptune's body was transported to the Medical Examiner's Office, where an autopsy was scheduled for Friday.
