Update: They Have Been Found! Maine State Police Looking For Missing Woman And Boy

Update: Maine State Police say the woman and her son have been located and are safe.

State Police in Maine are asking folks to be on the lookout for a woman and a young boy who have gone missing from Cumberland County.

According to authorities, the pair is related and was last seen at a local fast-food restaurant.

"The State Police are currently looking for Morgan Geyer (29) and her son, Logan Simard (4). Believed to be in the Portland area, they were last seen at the McDonald's near St. John Street around 12 PM today, September 5th."

Authorities have not indicated where they think the pair might be headed, or if they are traveling with anyone.

State Police are asking anyone who may have seen the pair, or have information about where they might be currently, to reach out to authorities at the Southern Field Troop office by calling (207) 624-7076 extension 9.

The Maine.gov website has listed 36 active "Missing Persons" cases in Maine, but says that number is only some of the folks who have not been located.
