Coach House Owner Passes Away

Every so often when I have a spare minute I meet my best friend at the Coach House for lunch.  On Wednesday, we found the restaurant closed for the day, and I was saddened to hear that owner Alan Dorr had passed away.

The funeral for Alan Dorr was held on Wednesday. Dorr started the restaurant with his son and daughter in 1992.

Dorr was 78 years old.

It's a sad day for the people at the Coach House, which is part of the fabric here in Brewer. God speed, Alan.

The restaurant reopened Thursday.
