Eastern Maine Sportsmen’s Show Returns March 10-12, 2023
The Eastern Maine Sportsmen's show returns March 10, 11, and 12 to the New Balance Fieldhouse at the University of Maine in Orono.
This annual rite of spring is back after three years of pandemic cancellations.
This year's event is Friday the 10th from 4 to 8 pm, Saturday the 11th from 9 am to 8 pm, and Sunday, March 12th from 9 am to 4 pm. Weekend passes can be purchased for $15. Or individual day tickets for those 12 and over are $9 per ticket.
There will be exhibits, demos, and programs for the entire family.
Again this year, more than 120 vendors, ranging from sporting goods dealers to hunting and fishing guides, gather at the UMaine New Balance Field House, Memorial Gym and Wallace Pool.
Now in its 82nd year, it is the longest-running sportsmen’s show in the country, organized entirely by volunteers from the Penobscot County Conservation Association.
The Eastern Maine Sportsmen’s Show is a great place to see the latest outdoor products and learn about outdoor sporting activities that can be enjoyed by the entire family.
With programs and demonstrations in the pool, classrooms, and on the Memorial gym stage, along with vendors filling the entire Field House, you can easily spend a day or all three days. Food is available in the gym.
Dock diving is an exciting performance sport that is all about fun for the dogs. And their owners, and of course the spectators.
Proceeds from this event benefit PCCA activities, scholarships for students majoring in Wildlife Ecology and Biology, and various adult and youth educational sporting programs throughout the years.
