This Summer’s Machias Wild Blueberry Festival Cancelled

One of Washington County's premiere events is now a no-go thanks to COVID-19.

The Machias Wild Blueberry Festival, which is normally filled with all sorts of delicious food, crafts and fun, has been cancelled.  The Festival will return in 2021 and be held August 20th through the 22nd.

Expect more major festivals across the state to be cancelled, with the Maine CDC and Governor Mills 4-phase plan calling for no more than 50 people in a gathering.

We can't wait to take the trip up Route 1 once again next year to enjoy a slice of homemade blueberry pie when the 45th Annual Machias Wild Blueberry Festival finally gets a chance to kick-off!
