This Sunday Is Maine Maple Sunday – Sweet
There is nothing like these cold nights and warmer days to make the maple sap flow and thanks to all the Maine sugar houses they flow right to our tables especially easily on Maple Weekend .
Easy as that sounds the Maine Maple Producers Assoc.will tell you if you have never seen the process of how it goes from tree to table you are missing out on quite a process. Add to that many of the sugar houses open for Maine Maple Sunday also offer maple candy, maple tea, maple ice cream and other assorted Maple flavored treats. There are also farms with animals for petting and viewing and some have even extended their event to include Saturday.

Nutkin Knoll Farm and Sugarworks on 269 Chapman Road, Newburgh who is open both Sat and Sun with viewing of their antique buildings and farm animals in barnyard. Plus, Maple syrup production demos, boiling if conditions allow. Maple treats, syrup, cotton candy for sale. Free ice cream with fresh syrup. Sugarbush tours & tree tappings.
Back Ridge Sugar House, 107 Boston Road, Winterport.
They too are open Sat and Sun March 23rd & 24th 10AM-4PM offering Boiling demo, Maple Candy, Whoopie pies, Pecans, Popcorn, Maple butter, Lolly Pops, and Sugarbush Tours.
This Sugar House is also Handi-capped Accessible
