At this point, yesterday is kind of a blur.

Cori and I hit the airwaves yesterday morning at 6:00 am, getting warmed up for the annual Children's Miracle Network Radiothon. The theme for this year was "Turn Up the Miracles", and that's exactly what happened. What started out as a totally unprecedented day of radio on our little station, ended up going completely bananas.

In the past, Townsquare Media has done this Radiothon for CMN, but we shared it among all our sister stations so everyone could get a turn. This year we took a chance by doing it all on I-95, and it paid off in the most joyfully unexpected way. Thanks to the most awesome listeners anywhere....

YOU RAISED ALMOST $27,000 TO HELP THE KIDS WHO NEED IT MOST!!!!

Let that sink in for a minute... That means we raised an average of $2,000 an hour, for the entire time Cori and I were on the air. That's bonkers. Don't get me wrong, I could possibly have been more humbled by the outpouring of support our community showed. We had hoped for maybe $5,000-$10,000. But you literally doubled that.

Kelly Pearson, our connection at CMN that organized the logistics of the whole thing, joined us at the end of the day on air and bowled us over with the total. It was a solid $10k over what we had hoped in our wildest dreams. And all of us involved can't thank you enough for what you did. We might've been on the mics, but you did the heavy lifting, in every way.

This could easily turn into an Oscar-style 'thank you' list...

First and foremost, the listeners. This is all you. You donated. You made it awesome. Of course, I gotta thank Cori, my partner in crime. She stuck it out in that tiny little hotbox for 12+ hours with me. That's a feat all on its own. Also, Meghan Andrews. She was our sales contact with CMN who helped make the whole thing possible.

We have to thank every patient, every caregiver, every provider, and all the other fine folks who took time out of their busy schedules to talk to us and you, and tell their amazing stories.

We also have to thank all the sponsors and folks who donated time and money to make this event over the top. Nexthome Experience was our presenting sponsor, plus many other sponsors in individual hours such as Duff & Associates, Chik Fil A, Bangor Int'l Airport, the Bangor PD, and of course Dabesta Pizza for keeping us fed!

All these folks, plus your donations made this a very special day of giving that benefits some of the most utterly vulnerable little people. It was a long day, that felt like it was over in no time. So thank you to every single person who donated. Whether it was $5 or $500, all those dollars put together made a huge difference. You're the best.
