Togus The Cat Has Died
Togus the Cat, owned by renowned news man Don Carrigan and the Storm Center 2 and 6 mascot has passed away. This made a lot of cat lovers here in Maine very sad this morning.
We will remember waking on winter mornings and seeing Don Carrigan report from his kitchen table with Togus by his side. Togus was a typical cat, sometimes caring that his master was talking into the camera forgoing his attention to another, sometimes not.
There was a book written about Togus, "Togus Finds a Home", and recently Togus ventured outside of the Mid Coast region visiting various groups, studios and schools.
Togus brought us a little happiness on those cold snowy mornings. Just like our pets, providing compassion, humor and companionship to many viewers. Togus will be missed.
