Starting Monday (Aug. 28), motorists in downtown Bangor will want to take note.

On that day, Park Street temporarily will become one-way as crews work to complete a retaining wall project. Access to Park Street will be from Center Street only. Park Street will not be accessible from Exchange or State Streets.

The repairs are likely to take about 12 weeks, according to a news release from the city's engineering department. Motorists are urged to drive safely within the work zone and observe all signage.

Businesses along Park Street will remain open throughout the project. On street parking will continue to be available along Park Street.
