Paving Projects Along Union Street In Bangor Thursday Could Lead To Some Delays
If you've travelled in the area of Union Street in Bangor, out towards Hermon, over the past week, you have likely noticed two things: Lots of cones and signs, and a slowing down and backing up of traffic in that area.
That's all been in preparation for what's taking place today (Thursday September 18th) in that part of the City; a large paving project.

According to the City of Bangor's Facebook page, contractors are going to be working all day, on a large stretch of Union Street.
"Work will begin at Griffin Road and extend to Davis Road. Drivers should expect delays, with alternating one-way traffic controlled by flaggers. Please drive with care in this area."
Now, anyone who has to travel out towards Job Corps or the Union Street Athletic Complex is going to want to keep this in mind for today, as you will likely need to account for a little extra travel time due to the back up of traffic.
You'll also want to keep in mind that entering and exiting the sports complex will be a little on the tricky side this afternoon, as kids get dropped off for games and practices. The increase in vehicles pulling in and out of there during that time period will require extra caution as that project takes place.
