Five students, including four seniors, have been charged in connection with the vandalism that shut down Mount Desert Island High School Friday morning.

Jeremiah Minctons, Drew Degraca, Baily Stillman, all 18, and Benjamin Wallace, 19, were charged with burglary and aggravated criminal mischief, according a a news release from the Bar Harbor Police Department. One juvenile also was arrested and charged in the incident.

Police say the students illegally entered the building and dumped about 25 gallons of lobster bait throughout the first floor of the school.

Classes were cancelled as a result of the incident.

All of the suspects were bailed from the Bar Harbor Police Department. The adult suspects are set to appear in superior court on July 25.
