Verizon Wireless Holding A Job Fair In Bangor Today

Verizon Wireless is holding a job fair today at 6 Telcom Drive in Bangor between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.  The company plans on hiring 90 new workers for it's call center.

Telcom Drive is off Union Street across from the Airport Mall.

Up to 210 people already work in it's call center here in Bangor.

According to an article in today's Bangor Daily News, salaries at the call center back in 2010 paid about $27,000 per year.

A spokesperson for Verizon Wireless says that the increase in employees will accommodate more customers that are using smartphones and tablets.  Both devices rely heavily on data provided  by Verizon's network.
