WATCH As Waves From Hurricane Teddy Pound Maine
The National Weather Service has extended a High Surf Advisory until 8 tonight for both Hancock and Washington Counties. Expect waves of 4 to 11 feet in the "surf zone."
Mother Nature's ocean fury is most ferocious, especially when there's a hurricane out to sea. Teddy may now be a post-tropical cyclone located off the northeast coast of Nova Scotia, but it certainly churned up the waters in the Gulf of Maine of its way by.
Further down the coast in Hampton Beach, New Hampshire, it's pretty much the same thing as big waves pound the seawall and then go up over it and into the road.
