WATCH Old Town Police Narrowly Miss A Drunk Driver In The Wrong Lane

Wow, this is scary!

An Old Town Police officer narrowly missed disaster very early this morning when a pickup truck traveling in the wrong lane over the Old Town/Milford Bridge on Center Street nearly hit her head-on.

The Old Town Police Department posted a video on Facebook today that shows the truck coming straight on in the opposite lane at the police cruiser.  The quick-thinking police officer moved over to the left to let the truck pass.

Once the truck was by the officer she turned the cruiser around to pursue the driver of the truck who was caught and eventually arrested for operating under the influence.

Kudos to Officer Brasslett of the Old Town Police Department for making what could have been a horrendous incident into an arrest and taking another allegedly drunk driver off a Maine road.
