The Honorable Transfer of Ellsworth Fire Deputy Chief Robert "Bobby" Dorr will begin this morning at 8:45 from the Jordan-Fernald Funeral Home on Franklin Street in Ellsworth.  The late Deputy Chief will be taken to Mount Hope in Bangor and then make the return trip back to Ellsworth at 3 p.m. today.

Mr. Dorr passed away earlier this week after a valiant battle with cancer.  He was a member of the Ellsworth Fire Department since 2010 and taught many firefighters in the area as a member of the Hancock County Fire Academy.

You will be able to see a clear view as the Honorable Transfer begins in downtown Ellsworth from the City's WEBCAM perched directly across from Franklin Street on City Hall. The procession will cross Main Street and proceed through the City Hall parking lot and then directly in front of the Fire Station, before moving onto Church Street.

Later, many other Fire, Police, and EMS departments will join the procession as it move past the intersection of Oak and State Streets, by the Mill Mall in Ellsworth. When the procession moves along Route 1A on the way to Bangor it will be joined by even more fire departments along the way, you will be able to see it pass by the City's North Ellsworth WEBCAM.
