Mr. LeClair took pleasure in helping his customers create magical moments.

Long-timers here at the radio station were saddened to learn of Harold "Sonny" LeClair's passing earlier this week.  It was always a joy to see his smiling face when he came into the station to record a commercial.  The man had a wonderful attitude about life and respected all that he came into contact with.

Mr. LeClair and his wife Barbette risked it all and worked very hard in creating Quality Jewelers in Bangor back in 1995.  Both his television and radio commercials would feature the humorous saying, "no-brainer", which more and more people in the area began to say as well as his business became popular.

Mr. LeClair was also part owner of Season's Restaurant on Main Street in Bangor and also Damon's Beverage in the Penobscot Plaza.

A recent Facebook post told us of the happiness that Mr. LeClair expressed when he created the perfect engagement ring or special birthday present at his jewelry store that brought joy to people's lives in a very special occasion.

Harold "Sonny" LeClair III was born in Bangor, and a graduate of both Orono high school and the University of Maine.  He enjoyed traveling, spending time at camp, playing golf and serving his community well.

He leaves behind his wife of 31 years, along with both a daughter and a son.

Mr. LeClair's hard work, outlook on life, and his compassion are all attributes that contributed to making this area of Maine a wonderful place to live.
