Who Is Your Best Friend On This National Best Friends Day? [POLL]

It always seems like they're there when you need them. They will never let you down.

Today is National Best Friends Day!  It's a day set aside every year to celebrate the person that you can confide in, ask advice of, spend the day with, and turn to in your time of need.  It seems that the older you get, the more evident it becomes that best friends are few and far between, which makes them so very special.  They truly are a gift.

A best friend could be a family member, a childhood friend that's pretty much been there since the beginning, an old college buddy, someone from work, or a family pet that counts on you as much as you count on it.

A best friend is someone who is there for you in both good times and bad, and more than willing to go the extra yard for you.  Someone to celebrate a special occasion with, send a birthday card to, or to take a special trip with creating fun and exciting memories that will last a lifetime.

National Best Friends Day happens every June 8th, and was actually designated as such by the United States Congress back in 1935, so it must be a big deal.

So take today to acknowledge that special friend in your life by just saying something like, "thanks for being there", or, "I'm lucky to have you."  In this age of being kind, it's the least you can do!
