A 21-year-old woman driving the wrong way on the highway in Saco has been charged with operating under the influence.

Baylee Lunt of Hollis was driving the wrong way on the Maine Turnpike when her car crashed into some construction vehicles, according to police. The accident happened at around 12:30 a.m. Monday as Lunt was traveling north in the southbound lane and crashed into several parked construction vehicles in a lane that was closed to traffic.

The accident happened at the Boom Road overpass construction project and no workers were in the vehicles at the time. Lunt was taken to Southern Maine Medical Center with minor injuries.

Police continue to investigate.
