The York County Sheriff's Department is looking for a man they consider dangerous, who may be armed.

UPDATE: According to the Sheriff's Department, Brandon Mahoney has been located and taken into custody.

25-year-old Brandon Mahoney has several outstanding warrants, according to the Sheriff's Department. Those warrants involve alleged assaultive behavior and so officials consider him a dangerous person. Mahoney is described as a white male, 5'11" tall, weighing 160 pounds. He has hazel eyes and black hair and was last seen Monday evening wearing a camouflage shirt and shorts in the 400 block of Shapleigh Corner Road in Shapleigh.

Deputies are currently asking for the public's help locating Mahoney, who they say may be armed and could be looking for shelter and/or transportation. A picture of Mahoney can be found on the York County Sheriff's Department's Facebook page.

Anyone who thinks they may see Mahoney is urged not to engage him in conversation or approach him, but to contact police immediately by calling 911.
