You Can Visit Acadia National Park For Free On Saturday

Entrance fees will be waived on Saturday in Acadia National Park.

Saturday, September 24, is National Public Lands Day. To mark the occasion, the National Park Service will wave entrance fees to national parks around the country, including Acadia National Park. The day is one of five dates this year that are designated as "fee-free days".

According to the National Park Service, "fee-free days provide a great opportunity to visit a new place or an old favorite, especially one of the national parks that normally charge an entrance fee." After September 24, there will be one more opportunity to visit Acadia National Park for free this year.

2022 Fee-Free Days:

September 24: National Public Lands Day
November 11: Veterans Day
