YouTube just announced plans to be total jerks.

Like every other tech giant, YouTube is planning on unveiling an ad-free music service. It's been in the works for a few years now. For a small fee you can jam out to their million song library. Sounds neat right? Well not for some artists.

A few big names in music haven't agreed to the financial terms YouTube is proposing. The video site says this service will help artists make more cash from the site. Names like Adele, the Arctic Monkeys and Jack White are among the 5% of artists yet to agree with the service.

YouTube says artists that don't agree to join the service will be blacklisted. In 'a matter of days' YouTube will delete videos from non-compliant music makers.

Not all hope is lost however. Third-party video-hosting services that agreed to the deal can continue to play banned artists.
