Admission to Maine State Parks Is Free On Father’s Day
Gather up a picnic lunch and grab the swimsuit because all 48 Maine State Parks will offer free admission to any car entering this Sunday with a Maine license plate!
“Maine Resident’s Day” happens Sunday, Father’s Day, from 9am until 6pm. The weather forecast looks fabulous for Sunday too! Places like Lamoine, Roques Bluff, Moose Point, Camden Hills and historic Fort Know State Parks will all be offering free admission! Although this offer does not apply to Baxter State Park, Scarborough Beach State Park, or the Penobscot Narrows Observatory in Prospect.
From a Maine Department of Agriculture, Conservation and Forestry press release, Commissioner Walt Whitcomb said, “June is “Get Outdoors Month”, and Maine State Parks get you out there. Our park staff and devoted volunteers have parks ready for visitors. Maine residents in particular, are encouraged to visit our parks and historic sites this Father’s Day!”
