Here's what those no good long haired rock and rollers were up to today!

The Beatles hit #1 again, this time with A Hard Day's Night.  Yeah, it was a movie, and a bunch of girls screamed through that too.  At least their cell phones weren't ringing.  It was 1964.

The Beatles were called the "Good boys of rock and roll" so naturally the Rolling Stones were the "Bad boys of rock and roll", because they smoked pot and urinated on the side of service station walls, stuff like that.  Anyway, it was on this date in 1969 that Honky Tonk Women hit #1.

While on tour in 1977, Led Zeppelin drummer John Bonham and tour manager Peter Grant with the help of a bodyguard beat up a person working security at the Oakland Coliseum.  The band would eventually have to pony up $2 million as a settlement.  Hey, for $2 million, I'd let a bunch of rock and roll sissies kick my ass too.

Def Leppard's album Hysteria went to #1 on the album chart on this date in 1988.  It included Pour Some Sugar On Me, Animal, Love Bites, Armageddon It and of course Hysteria.  Over 20 million copies of the album sold, and it's the bands best selling album to date.  Def Leppard is the I-95 Band Of The Day on I-95!
