On this date in 1963, the very first Beatles song aired on the radio in the United States.  What do you think it was?

Famed DJ Murray the K gave She Loves You by the Beatles a spin on WINS New York, and the rest is rock and roll history!

In 1968, one of the longest songs ever to hit the airwaves hit #1.  It was Hey Jude by the Beatles.  Paul McCartney wrote the song with John Lennon's son Julian in mind. Did John Lennon every write a song about one of Paul McCartney's kids?  NO!  In 1996 Julian Lennon won rights to the song at auction.  Did Paul McCartney loan him the money?  NO!

It was on this date in 1974 that the debut album by Bad Company went to #1 on the album chart. The so-called English "supergroup" consisted of Paul Rodgers and Simon Kirke from Free, Boz Burrell from King Crimson and Mick Ralphs from Mott The Hoople.  The name of the album by Bad Company was Bad Company, and contained a song called Bad Company.  Way to drive the point home guys!  By the way, Bad Company is the I-95 Band Of The Day!

In 1991, Guns N' Roses released two albums at the same time, Use Your Illusion I' and 'Use Your Illusion II.'  Both albums went to #1 and #2 on the album chart.  To make things even stranger, both albums contained different versions of a few of the same songs.
