This date in 1962, all four members of the Beatles went into the recording studios at Abbey Road and recorded a song for the first time.  What do you think it was?

It was Love Me Do!  In the song, John Lennon played a harmonica given to him by Delbert McClinton.  Who would have known the fame that would follow?  Oh, you predicted it, excuse me.

On this date in 1965, The Who had all their equipment stolen from their road van as they were actually inside a home for dogs, selecting a guard dog.  No wonder they were always pissed.

In 1969, the film Easy Rider opened.  It starred Jack Nicholson, Peter Fonda and Dennis Hopper and mainly centered around thugs riding big ol' hogs (motorcycles) around the desert.  It featured the song Born To Be Wild by Steppenwolf.  Nicholson and Hopper would go on to create major award winning motion pictures, Fonda would star in Dirty Mary Crazy Larry, 'nuff said.

Uncle Albert/Admiral Halsey by Paul McCartney went to #1 on this date in 1971.  McCartney did have an uncle named Albert, and America did have an Admiral named William "Bull" Halsey.  The song is still very corny though.

In 1976, Fleetwood Mac's self titled album, the first with Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham went to #1.  Fleetwood Mac is the I-95 Band of the Day!  By the way, Stevie and Lindsey still piss each other off till this day.
