A Bangor man was arrested after his live-in girlfriend went to the police department to report he assaulted her. 

Tyler Williams, 19,  of Bangor reportedly beat his girlfriend after she confronted him about a text message on his phone, according to a release from the Bangor Police Department. Williams then threatened to kill the victim if she reported it to the police.

The victim went to the Bangor Police Department on Friday to report the incident and also told police about her boyfriend’s marijuana grow operation in the apartment that they shared, as well as the heroin, pills, and paraphernalia inside.

Williams was charged with Domestic Violence Assault, Domestic Violence Criminal Threatening, Cultivation of Marijuana, Illegal Possession of Heroin, Possession of Schedule W drugs x 3 (Suboxone, Adderall and Vyvance). He’s being held at the Penobscot County Jail.
