Tonight’s mystery artists have a #1 hit that was inspired by the book The Bourne Identity.  Can you guess the song or band??

The song written by Golden Earring guitarist George Kooymans was their biggest hit "Twilight Zone" from 1982. According to Wikipedia George said he got the inspiration from the book The Bourne Identity by Robert Ludlum. The book tells of character Jason Bourne,  a man with remarkable survival abilities who suffers from retrograde amnesia. In the story he is searching to find his true identity and figure out why several shadowy groups, a professional assassin, and the CIA want him dead.

The band following suit, in the music video, lead singer Barry Hay plays  an espionage agent who is inevitably apprehended by three henchmen played by the other members of the band.

The song "Twilight Zone" appeared on their 1982 album ‘Cut’. It was the group's sole Top 10 Pop single on the US Billboard Hot 100 and hit No. 1 on the Billboard Top Album Tracks chart, the band's only No. 1 hit in the US.

And just for fun...
