John Fogerty came to "Bang-er"  this past Saturday night and rocked the Cross Insurance Center "big time!"  This Rock and Roll Hall of Famer may not know how to pronounce the name of our city but the 69 year old can still rock with the best of them!

Fogerty's band featured his son Shane on guitar , and also Kenny Aronoff, one of rock's premiere veteran drummers, kicked the night off with the Creedence Clearwater Revival classic "Travelin' Band!"

Stand out songs of the night included "Down On The Corner", "Born On The Bayou", " The Old Man Down The Road" and "Fortunate Son."  The biggest reaction from the crowd came when Fogerty launched into "Centerfield", his classic song about baseball!

Right up front Fogerty admitted that he "wasn't much of a talker" and "just enjoyed playing rock n' roll!"  Although at one point during the show Fogerty apologized for laughing in the middle of a song and "not being much of a professional."  Fogerty went of to say, "man I'm almost 70 years old and a lady up front keeps flashing me!"

If you were in attendance this past Saturday night consider yourself truly fortunate, you were in the presence of  rock and roll royalty.
