Airplane fanatics here in Maine got an exciting surprise yesterday when the U.S. Air Force said they will provide a F-22 Raptor plane for The 2015 Great State of Maine Air Show!

According to The Great State Of Maine Air Show's website, "the Raptor is the world’s most advanced fighter aircraft and one of the most sought-after demonstrations on the air show circuit." It will be it's first ever appearance here in Maine!

Also scheduled to appear this Labor Day weekend, The U.S. Navy Blue Angels and the U.S. Marine Corps C-130 "Fat Albert,"  a four-turboprop transport plane!

The 2015 Great State Of Maine Air Show will take place September 5th and 6th at the Brunswick Executive Airport, the site of the former Naval Air Station.  A full schedule of events will be posted on the Air Show's website later this year.
