13 year old Shawn loved to swim. He didn’t Cerebral Palsy slow him down.  “leave me alone,” he would say ---“I can do it myself”! One day he asked the Director, “Dana, do you know why I love to swim so much?” “No the director replied” why do you love swimming so much?”  Because, replied Shawn, “when I am in the water, I can walk”.

Things we often take for granted is a very big deal for Camp CaPella kids. Being able to swim ---sets you free when you have s physical disability. And at Camp, disabilities just don’t matter. For a week----Shawn and all the other campers are just kids having fun ---where they can do anything anyone else can.

Camp CaPella is a privately funded non-profit that I-95 helps with fundraising whenever we can.  Our next event is the I95 Classic Drive and Car Show with Maine Oxy . We'd love to have you with us! Click here to register.

This year Camp CaPella is also looking for Challenge Pacesetter businesses to participate in the LaVerdiere Challenge to allow them to get match funds for your donations so it is a great year to help. Also, on June 27 & 28 I-95 will be having a our CaPellaThon where you can call in and pledge money to help send kids to camp.
