Pet Groomer Going Into Old 6 Mile Falls Store On Broadway In Bangor
It seems like nothing has been the right fit...yet. While some have tried to make a go of it, the last couple of businesses to occupy the old 6 Mile Falls store on outer Broadway haven't lasted long.
The building, which was once the home to a bustling little butcher/grocery store, has been a fixture on Route 15, for anyone coming into or traveling out of Bangor.

The 6 Mile Falls store closed in 2019, and sat vacant for a few years. There were plans, at one point in 2022, to put a café and bakery in there. But that never came to be.
In May of 2024, local businessman Byron Dill Jr. made some renovations to the space, and opened a sporting goods shop/market, Dill's Outdoor, at the location. But that business closed a short while later.
Once again, the property, which has been owned since 2021 by Pray Properties, has been sitting, unoccupied.

But this summer, there seemed to be some action taking place inside, with work crews doing obvious repairs and renovations to the space.
According to the City of Bangor, those preparations have been made in anticipation of a new pet-grooming/retail business that's set to open at the site, once the work is complete, although they did not say what the business is called.
We look forward to seeing some activity in that building once again, and wish the new tenants the best of luck!
