Actor & Mainer Patrick Dempsey Celebrates Birthday

The Maine born TV star and founder of the Dempsey Center in Lewiston turns 54 today.

We don't know where Mr. Dempsey is spending his birthday today.  But, chances are it's in California, where he played in a benefit softball tournament for California Strong, an organization that raises funds for those affected by tragedy in that state.

Mr. Dempsey and his wife Julian recently purchased a home in Kennebunkport, and of course spends a lot of time here in Maine for relaxation, to see family, and to continue his support of the Dempsey Center in both Lewiston and South Portland with his fundraising event, the Dempsey Challenge.

Wherever McDreamy is today, we wish him a happy birthday, and thank him for what he and his family have done for those that live here in Maine.
