Bangor Police Investigating Early Morning Home Invasion

Two Bangor residents are okay this morning after a scary home invasion by three armed intruders.

Police responded to a report of a home invasion at 16 Brown Street just before 6 a.m. Thursday. One of the victims told ABC-7 that three intruders forced their way into her apartment and attacked both her and her husband. She said the man grabbed her and threw her on the floor, with her head resting on the bed. He told her to put her hands behind her back and then used zip ties to bind her wrists.

The intruders made off with less than $300 in cash, according to the victim, and police say they also took some jewelry and electronic equipment. A neighbor said he heard tires squealing early in the morning as the intruders left the area. The witness described them as Caucasian but said they were wearing masks. No one was seriously injured in the incident.

Bangor Police said in a media release that they do not believe this to be a random act. They urge citizens to keep doors and windows secured, be cautious about who they open the door for, and call police immediately if they see any suspicious activity or are concerned for their safety.
