Let's face it... as amazing as Santa is, sometimes he relies on some outside help to get the job done. I mean, you've got mere hours to deliver presents to all the boys and girls of the entire world, wouldn't you enlist some helping hands here and there to make sure the job gets done right?

Well, I imagine the temps are a bit warm for Santa's elves, even down here in Maine. So, the Bangor Post Office has opted to increase their hours a bit to help out with the holiday season. They'll be opening on Saturdays in December from 9:00am - 1:30pm, according to Fox ABC Maine.

Certainly, we've been hearing for months about how the rise of COVID-19 in the United States has caused people to do a lot more of their normal shopping online. Because of that, the United States Postal Service has pretty much become the cornerstone of our lives. Everything from shopping to voting, 2020 has been the year of the Post Office.

We're all guilty. Seriously, I have at least one package every day or two coming to my house. Be it equipment for my studio, or new headlights for the car, I've done more shop & click this year than I think I ever have. I absolutely buy local whenever possible, but sometimes you just have to let your fingers do the shopping.

At any rate, having the post office open a bit more to help with this year's giving and receiving will be a huge blessing to many, for sure. Especially since the jolly old at man seems to be sourcing most of our gifts from Amazon. Santa better check my list twice, and not leave anything in the cart!
