Have No Fear! Bangor, Maine WILL Be Getting Another Spirit Halloween Store

For many years, there's been a very big, very visible sign that the end of summer was coming. I'm not talking about the changing of the leaves or a temperature drop. I'm not even talking about the beginning of "Pumpkin Spice Season."

What I am talking about is that surefire sign that everything is about to change for the spookier with the opening of a local "Spirit Halloween" store. 

For years, the Spirit Halloween store would pop up, just about the last week or so in August, most recently at the old Bed Bath & Beyond location at 6 Bangor Mall Blvd.

However, many Mainers wondered if it would be opening this year, as the spot it's been for the better part of the last decade was not going to be available this year, as it's being turned into the new Burlington Coat Factory.

Word came out this past spring that Burlington, as it's often referred to, was moving from it's old location on Springer Drive to the new space next to Bob's Discount.

That being said, where would Spirit Halloween go?

Well, as seems to be the game with Bangor businesses in the mall area, Spirit Halloween is also playing a game of hopscotch, and will be opening this year in the old Books-A-Million location at 116 Bangor Mall Blvd.

Books-A-Million recently moved (notice a trend?) into the old Bed Bath & Beyond building at 490 Stillwater Avenue.

I know, I know, it's confusing to keep track of all the moves and swaps sometimes. But rest assured, Bangor, there will be a place for you to pick out your ridiculously themed couples outfits, your paralyzing porch decorations and your "sultry" everything costumes.

Spirit Halloween will rise again! (and is hiring at the moment, in case you're interested.)

While they have yet to release an official opening date, a spokesperson for the company says they should be posting that information on their website in the very near future.
