Here's where you can and cannot park.

With the area's first major storm expected to hit the city, Bangor's winter parking regulations are now in effect until March 31st.

In an effort to help the city's public works department clear the streets of snow, a parking ban will be effect between 11 tonight and 6 Tuesday morning within the Downtown Parking Management District.  Vehicles left on the streets within the District could very well be ticketed and then towed at the owner's expense. This downtown parking ban will go into effect anytime the Public Works Director issues a directive during the winter.

Parking is prohibited in all city parking lots and on all city streets between midnight and 6 a.m. now until March 31st.

When a downtown parking ban goes into effect, folks may park their vehicles under the Columbia Street Parking Deck or under the Pickering Square Parking Garage next to Kenduskeag Plaza West, between 5 p.m. and 7 a.m. the following day.
