Bangor’s Community Connector Bus Service Suspended For Two Days

The City of Bangor has informed us late this afternoon that the Community Connector bus service will not run over the next two days, this Friday the 23rd and also Saturday the 24th, as someone has tested positive for COVID-19 and employees may have been possibly exposed as well.

While the City recognizes the inconvenience that may mean to many, steps must be taken over the next two days to make the bus system safer for everyone.

This means that none of the transit system's buses or paratransit services will be available to riders on those two days. Services will resume on Monday, April 26th.

Three employees may have been exposed to COVID-19 and will now quarantine.

"We understand how much bus service means to our community, and want our riders to know that we did not reach this decision lightly but feel extra caution is warranted. Any passengers known to have been exposed will be notified soon, if they have not already been," said Assistant City Manager Courtney O'Donnell in an official press release.

The City of Bangor will now sanitize the buses along with the bus service's facilities and take other preventative measures as a precaution.
