Food Networks Star Stops Into Maine Bakery For A Sweet Treat
Summer in Maine brings a few things everyone can count on; road construction, black flies and celebrity sightings!
Vacationland has been a popular destination for the who's who from Hollywood for years.
Those of us who live here know that it's not out of the ordinary to spot a celebrity in the Pine Tree State during the summer months.
While some come because they actually grew up in the area, like Magic Mike/True Blood star Joe Manganiello, other come to enjoy the sights, sounds, and food Maine has to offer.

Local bakers Jonathan Beal and his partner, Michael Roy who own Sweet Cheeks Bakery on Verona Island got quite the treat themselves, when renowned wine/food connoisseur, Ted Allen, from Bravo TV's "Queer Eye For The Straight Guy" and The Food Network's "Chopped", popped in to chat with them at their store this week.

They posted pic of them with Allen with them on their social media pages.
"Thank you Ted Allen for stopping in and for the great conversation! Our small business and our staff appreciate it very much!"
There's no word yet on what brought him to the area, or what, if anything, he tasted while in town.
But the bakery's comment section was a-buzz with excitement!
One woman wrote "WOW!!! I LOVE Ted!! Watch him crush dreams every day. You never know who's gonna walk in that door."
Another commented "Ate dinner a table over from him at Roaring Lion Farm Market last summer! Love his appreciation and support for the local food scene."
And another person chimed in with "I for one think it's awesome that Ted Allen finally got to meet you!"

The bakery's flagship location on Verona Island has enjoyed success since it opened back in 2021, so much so that the couple has branched out, opening a handful of 24/7 satellite locations (They're fresh dessert vending machines! How delicious is that?!) in Ellsworth, Holden and Newport, over the last 3 years.
