Here's a list of some of the most picture-perfect spots in Bangor to take prom, wedding or just whatever pictures!

1.) Stephen King's old house on West Broadway

While he and Tabitha haven't actually lived there for years, that doesn't take away from the neat architectural features of the old King home on West Broadway. With the addition of the wood-carved Totem and the new cobblestone walkway in front of the residence, the already creepy iron fence and landscaping make for a pretty cool backdrop for any picture you're wanting to take. It's not hard to see why that's one of the top spots in town to snap a selfie.

2.) Thomas Hill Standpipe

Not only is this structure impressive in stature, some of the views of the city, especially at night, that you can see even from its base, right on the ground, are spectacular.

Of course, if you're able to actually get in during one of their open houses and get yourself to the top, well, those views are some of the best in Bangor. I think the climb up to the top might be a bit of a burden in high heels in a fancy dress, but I bet the payoff is totally worth it to capture that moment in time forever from the top.

3. Cascade Park

What's cool about Cascade Park is that even when the fountain isn't running, there's still the gazebo and plenty of pretty places along the path to take pictures. And when the fountain is running, well, wow! Between the water and the little footbridge, it's charming.

4.) The Greetings From Bangor, Maine Mural

If you time it just right, and can grab a pick from the other side of the street before traffic down Union Street begins to move again, the Greetings From Maine mural on the side of the McGuire building, right under the Robinson Ballet rehearsal space, is visually very neat. And if you break it down, not only are you getting a picture taken in front of this mural, but also next to the other Bangor landmarks, which are featured in the piece, all at once.

5.) Umbrella Sky Project

One of Bangor's newer attractions, the Umbrella Sky installation that runs along Cross Street between Main Street and Columbia Street in Bangor, is the peak of visual stimulation. There are multiple ways to get creative and use this backdrop to your advantage, so have some fun with this one.
