Most of us had to have a learning curve to appreciate during the COVID-19 pandemic.  And, really, this curve has had to do with integrating more technology into our lives.

For some, ZOOM has become one of those new additions to our work process during the pandemic and with it has come unusual circumstances, such as unexpected video captures, inability to understand why I can't turn off the microphone and maybe a guest appearance that was completely unintended.

Well, the Penobscot County Sheriff's Office created a ZOOM meeting that we can all relate to but, only a ZOOM session that a sheriff or police officer could encounter.

Check out this hilarious video the Penobscot County Sheriff's Office posted on Facebook Tuesday that gives a tongue-and-cheek view into the ZOOM age for those working in public safety.  The video includes a few guest appearances from local business owner Jason Clark of the Levant Corner Store, Hermon Firefighter Mike Simmons and the Z's top dog weatherman-errr... meteorologist Todd 'T-Bone/Popi Fuego' Simcox.

The post was put up on the Penobscot County Sheriff Office's Facebook page yesterday.

The post also gave us some context of the video while also acknowledging the technological changes we've experienced due to the pandemic:

It appears many organizations have adjusted to the pandemic and rely on using zoom to conduct meetings. Well, the Sheriff’s Office is not immune. Here is a fun, but informational attempt of a crew meeting. We even have special guest appearances by Levant Corner Store Owner Jason Clark, WABI Meteorologist Todd Simcox (a.k.a Chris Ewing), and Hermon Firefighter Mike Simmons.
While its clear, the pandemic has clearly impacted all of us, the Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office continues to provide the highest level of law enforcement service possible. We hope you enjoyed a little humor and information during this zoom meeting. Thank you for the continued support of our Office.

Thank you for your work, Penobscot County Sheriff's Office, and thank you for a little humor on a messy snow day.
