Ton Of Pasta 2023: Come Give JStew & Cori Your Noodles!
Helping friends and neighbors is a great way to make a positive impact on this world. And there's a great opportunity to do just that, in such a simple way, coming up this weekend.
On Saturday, March 18th, Townsquare Media will celebrate 21 years of teaming up with local organizations like OHI, Samaritan Inc., The Blue Cross Food Pantry, and Loaves and Fishes, to restock community food cupboards.
After the hustle and bustle of the holiday season, shelves tend to go bare, quickly. But the need for help never goes away. We want to make sure there is food available to everyone in our community who needs access to it.
That's where you come in.
As in years past, we'll be sending our DJs out to set up in front of local Hannaford stores to collect donations of pasta, on the morning of the 18th. Our goal each year is to collect "A Ton of Pasta. The pasta will be distributed to local food cupboards throughout the area to help put food on the tables for individuals and families living with food insecurity.
We know that just one box of pasta can usually feed an entire family, so just imagine how many families in Maine we could help, if everyone gives just a little.
We'll have teams set up from 10 AM until 1 PM at Hannaford stores on Broadway and Union St. in Bangor, and the Hannafords in Brewer, and Ellsworth.
Stop by, bring the kids, bring your friends, and say hello! Take a selfie with the JStew and Cori, if you like. They'll be set up at the Broadway Hannaford.
But most importantly, if you can, either on your way in or on your way out of the store, consider making a donation of a box or two of pasta.
Help us help others, and help yourself feel good too, in the process.
