Costco to Build their First Store in Maine
Maine's first Costco store has been approved. Construction will get underway soon.
Southern Maine will soon have a Costco. Back in January, the wholesale retailer began the process to build a store at Scarborough Downs. According to WABI, the Scarborough Planning Board approved the building plans. The 161,100 square foot store would be erected at the corner of Payne Road and Scarborough Downs Road. The store will also feature a gas station.
Construction is expected to begin this fall. The store will open in late 2023 or early 2024.
