Did Catch The CP Holiday Train In Hermon Or Greenville This Past Weekend?
For the last 27 years, the CPKC Holiday Train has toured spots across the U.S. and Canada, raising millions of dollars to support food banks in the towns it stops, and getting people into the holiday spirits with energetic songs and a flashing light show!
CPKC is a railway that runs from Canada through the U.S. Almost 30 years ago, they came up with a way to help put food on the tables of people across North America, while also uniquely spreading holiday cheer.

They host a whole roster of musicians, and play impromptu concerts for small crowds at railway stations along their route.
"Professional musicians play free concerts from the brightly decorated train's stage. CPKC donates to the local food bank at each stop and encourages all attendees to make a monetary or heart-healthy food donation."

"Since its inaugural journey in 1999, the CPKC Holiday Train has raised more than $26 million and collected approximately 5.4 million pounds of food for community food banks in Canada and the U.S."
Some of this year's performers include SmashMouth, LANCO, Barenaked Ladies and the American Authors, to name a few.
The CP Holiday Train made stops in both Hermon and Greenville this past weekend, met by crowds of hundreds of Mainers, looking for a chance to take in the spectacle.
This is not the first time the train has come through Maine. It made its initial appearance in the Pine Tree State in 2022.
