
Cumberland County Woman Arrested In Connection With The Alleged Murder Of Her Boyfriend In Standish
Authorities arrested a woman from Cumberland County this week, in connection with a homicide in Standish, according to the Maine State Police.

Maine Department of Public Safety spokesperson Shannon Moss said the Cumberland County Sheriff's Department was called to 715 River Road in Standish around 7 p.m. on Friday, October 3rd, for a report of a disturbance taking place at the residence. Deputies responded and found the body of a dead male inside the house when they arrived. The Maine State Police Major Crimes Unit was called in to investigate.

Moss says 37-year-old Lynn Perkins was taken into custody almost 2 weeks later, just before 1 PM on Thursday, October 16th.
"Perkins was charged with Murder in connection to the death of 49-year-old Matthew Hamilton. Hamilton was located deceased inside the River Road residence on Friday, October 3, 2025. The Office of Chief Medical Examiner in Augusta determined the cause of death to be a gunshot wound, and the manner of death was ruled a homicide. Perkins and Hamilton had been in a relationship together. "
Moss says Perkins is being held, without bail, at the Cumberland County Jail.
