A vehicle operated by a Florida woman crossed the centerline Thursday morning on Route 302 in Casco and struck an SUV belonging to the Cumberland County Sheriff's Office, police said.

Patricia DeWolfe was traveling eastbound just before 9 a.m. in a black 2007 Ford Taurus when she collided with the westbound police vehicle, operated by Deputy Patrick Ferriter, the sheriff's office said Thursday afternoon.

Police said they determined the woman crossed the centerline after collecting evidence and speaking with witnesses.

Neither driver suffered serious injuries, but the two were taken to local medical facilities to be evaluated.

The sheriff’s office said the cause of the crash was still under investigation.
