Fall Fun for the Family Sunday at Orrington’s Reigning Hope Ranch

A new equine therapy ranch in Orrington invites the public in for a Fall Harvest Festival, full of live music, food, and fun.

Reigning Hope Ranch is more than a horse farm. The horses help people deal with their depression, trauma, or whatever emotional challenges they're struggling with. These gentle souls have already helped children, adults, and even veterans see the world in a different light.

Jenna Baillargeon is behind this special facility, which is a pending non-profit on Center Drive in Orrington. She told me that she got the idea for Reigning Hope Ranch through her own years of trauma and healing experiences with horses. Now, she's helping others the same way.

The idea has caught on quickly, with many people signing up and new horses arriving at the ranch. As a matter of fact, Jenna tells me they could really use some volunteers. No experience is necessary, because she says they can train people who are eager to help. Big plans are in the works for Reigning Hope Ranch, including an indoor facility, so weather won't slow down their work.

This Sunday, Jenna and her family are inviting the public in for a Fall Harvest Fundraiser, to see the ranch, meet the horses, and have some autumn fun. From 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, October 24, there will be live music from a variety of performers; several food trucks with everything from barbecue to ice cream; face painting; pumpkin painting; a bake sale; quilt raffle; bounce houses; and a candy hunt.

The facility is located at 305 Center Drive in Orrington.  Admission is $10 for adults, $5 for kids ages 4 to 15, and free for kids under 4. Plus, it's $40 for a family of 6+.
