Popular Bangor Boba Shop Rebrands and Expands Into Brewer
Fat Panda Boba Tea & Market, a popular Boba and treat shop, has been providing fans of ramen noodles and specialty teas with things they can't get in most other places since October of 2020.
Nestled right between Gosselin's Bakery and Bangor Floral on Harlow Street, the location has enjoyed success in its little corner of Bangor.

In the fall of 2023, Fat Panda's owner, Bangor businessman Christopher Worden, acquired the bakery next door from Yvette and Bruce Steward, whose family had been running Gosselins since the late 1940s, and took over the business. He then sold both businesses to Jameson Altman.
At the beginning of 2025, Altman decided to venture across the bridge in Brewer and attempted to open a second Fat Panda location. They nickname it "Fat Panda 2."

Fat Panda 2 opened its doors in January of 2025 for just a short while, and then closed back up to renovate the space and rebrand.
Altman decided he wanted to incorporate the two businesses, Gosselins and Fat Panda, into one, and thought the Brewer location would be a great place to do that.
So he's concentrating on lunchtime subs and sandwiches, along with the baked goods and Boba.
After a year's worth of reorganising and redecorating, Fat Panda 2 reopened in their location at 383 Wilson Street, between Davita and Rent-A-Centre, last month.
With baked goods from Gosselins now available, along with deli sandwiches (either grab-and-go style or made to order at their Brewer location), they also still carry everyone's favorite Boba.
